Congregate Meals
Senior Citizens Congregate Meals are available for all seniors over 60 at The Dinner Bell restaurant for midday meal Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Recommended donation is $3.00 for each meal.
Meals On Wheels
Home delivered Meals are available seven days a week. Meals are prepared by the Dahl Memorial Healthcare association meal program and delivered in-home at a recommended donation amount of $2.50 for each meal.
Carter Charter
This Senior bus travels to Baker every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at a cost of $7.00 round trip and to Miles City every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at a cost of $13.00 round trip. It is available within the city limits of Ekalaka for $1.00. Contact Eileen Larson at 775-6273 to reserve your seat. The bus also schedules special trips to out of town destinations and is available for transport to nearby airports and hospitals at the discretion of the coordinator.
Adult Day Care
Families are able to utilize the Dahl Memorial Nursing Home at no cost as respite care for up to 3 days per month for their dependant loved ones.
Blood Pressure Checks
An EMT checks blood pressures for free once a month at congregate meals.
Legal Services
Our local Attorney Provides free legal advice, counseling and representation.
Excludes tax preparation.
Senior Center
Next door to the congregate meal site is our Senior Center. It is open for all individuals interested in visiting, completing puzzles, playing card games and a variety of social events. Senior Citizens are welcome to join the Carter County Senior Citizens Club, which meets every other month on the third Monday at 2:00 p.m.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program
This is a federally funded program to provide supplemental food packages to income eligible persons over the age of 60. Food boxes are distributed once a month.
Council On Aging
This Council consists of nine members (5 senior citizens) who meet bi-monthly on the third Monday to oversee the local senior program services and make suggestions as to how they can improve this endeavor.
Homemaker
This service provides assistance in-home with light housework, laundry, shopping and using the telephone. Services provided at a recommended donation of $3.00 each hour.
Health Screening Services
A trained health professional performs various medical or screening tests such as blood pressure reading, foot clinic, diabetes and glaucoma screening, hearing examinations, hypertension, cholesterol, cancer and health risk assessment, flu shots, or medication management. can be provided in-home, community of other settings.
State Health Insurance Assistance Program Counselor ( SHIP)
Lori Buck is a trained SHIP counselor available to assist with managing your Medicare Health Plans.
